Hodgman`s Frozen Custard Corporation in New Gloucester

Good but way over priced...unfortunately because otherwise I would go alot more often than once or twice a year.

I've gained 60 pounds living next to this place. Delicious. Maybe I should walk more.

A treasure of the summer for years, we now live further away but always try to make it here for some delicious frozen custard at least once or twice each summer. Flavors of the day are often very tasty. But if they don't appeal to you, the vanilla and chocolate are well worth the trip. We get our cones and sit on the big rock and eat them. So much fun!

Always a great spot to visit for any occasion! They regularly have chocolate and vanilla custard and they rotate a specialty flavor. If you find out your favorite flavor is up, go fast because once it's gone, it's gone! They're closed on Mondays and Tuesdays!

Only three flavors to choose from, and not easy to get to, but man is it worth it. Best custard anywhere. I had the fresh strawberry, which was the weekly special at the time. They always have vanilla and chocolate.

The BEST frozen custard in Maine... Hands down! I've been getting Frozen Custard here most of my life... No matter where I travel to or try out, they all pale in comparison! Hodgman's really makes quality product. The locals wouldn't consider going anywhere else! 💁 If you haven't checked this place out make sure you do... You won't regret it!

As my 8 year old said, "They have the cleanest porta-potties ever!" Good ice cream too, or "frozen custard" apparently, but I couldn't tell the difference. Limited flavors. Don't expect to find mint anything. There's no big board of flavors like you'd find at an ice cream shop. It is chocolate or vanilla and a handful of mix-ins like peanut butter cups. I wouldn't go out of my way to go here, but as a sweet serendipitous pit stop, it was pretty great.

Great location and decent custard. Very poor customer service. At the prices on pays, it would be nice to be able to ask for how one likes it. I asked for a gabba boat with different topping, got glared at and a different order than I asked. Not the first time service was irritable.

Very good. My wife and I stopped thinking it was regular ice cream and we're concerned because she doesn't like custard pie. We both loved it though. Very creamy and a thicker consistency than ice cream. We will definitely come back.

Love, love, love Hodgman's! They make the custard locally and rotate the flavors out on a regular basis. Chocolate and vanilla are always available, peanut butter, pistachio, New York Style Cheesecake, and Irish Cream are a few of the specialty flavors they serve. You can get your custard on a cone, in a dish, mixed with goodies, etc! Definitely worth the stop.

My favorite frozen custard since 1951. My grandmother ,Sylvia Stroheker, worked there many years ago. My Dad, Nelson Hood, was friends with Kenney Hodgman, and they rode motorcycles together. Hodgman's frozen custard has very unique smoothness and flavor that surpasses any other wannabes. Thank you for all the memories and consistent deliciousness through the years!!!☺🍡🍡🍡

Vanilla, chocolate and one rotating special flavor. This custard is the best stuff on earth. Kids should get "teddy bears", I usually get a scoop of vanilla with the special flavor on top. I check their Facebook page to learn when black raspberry is the flavor and make a special trip. Cash only.

Great place that doesn't overwhelm with flavor options. Basics and flavor of the day. Plenty of seating and beside a great fried foods place(can't remember the name :-( )
